This is my current role, however I have previously been on secondment as Store Manager in Summertown, and am currently on secondment as Store Manager in Abingdon.
During this role I also completed my NVQ3 and registered with the GPhC as a Pharmacy Technician (entered the register June 2023)
Managing a small pharmacy and store team, ensuring the store is adequately staffed to cover busy periods. Keeping up to date with shop rebuilds and sales plans. Ensuring Pharmacy staff are supported and stepping in to different roles when needed. Hiring new staff and setting expectations to make sure the store runs effectively.
Ensuring the effective day-to-day running of the Pharmacy, following the model day planner to ensure all administrative tasks are completed. Data entering and dispensing prescriptions, handling both EPS and FP10 prescriptions along with online and private prescriptions. Stock management, completing stock counts and date checking. Dispensing FP10MDA prescriptions weekly. Liaising with GP surgeries and medicine suppliers to ensure patients receive their medications in a timely manner. Managing out of stock items so that there in never a delay in supply.
Focusing on patient safety, handling the monthly patient safety review, sharing learnings on near misses and setting actions for the team.
On returning from Australia I resumed my role and training as a pre-reg Pharmacy technician.
During this time period I worked and travelled across Australia.
I had various roles fruit picking, tree planting and working with livestock. The longest role was during the covid pandemic, where I worked and lived on a farm near the Gold Coast. The role involved livestock management and land maintenance such as fencing and weeding. I also managed the farm with two others whilst the owners were away for a month period.

My main roles included labelling and dispensing prescriptions, dealing with stock management, giving customers advice on minor ailments, referring to the pharmacist when needed. I dispensed dosette boxes for patients and liaised with GP surgeries.
I started out as customer advisor, then moved into pharmacy to complete my NVQ2 in healthcare and dispensing.
In this role I worked Saturdays as a customer advisor whilst I completed my A level studies. Mainly working tills and some shop floor operations.
