I have worked for Sainsburys for 17 years, during this time I have carried out many managerial roles in various departments such as Fresh Foods, Food and Groceries Online. As well as colleague roles including visual merchandiser on clothing.
This job was the same role and required the same key skills as my current role.
Crayford is one of the largest stores on the company with an equally large online department; this gave me experience in managing a large team of people through my 3S managers. I was given many trials to partake in and give honest feedback to the relevant teams.
The Skills and experiences in this role mimic that of my future job roles as an online manager in addition to also supporting the department and store through the Covid pandemic. This meant very fast paced recruitment and constant changing to shop floor displays to support customer needs. During this time it was key to be obsessed with customer behaviour and needs during the pandemic.
