Summary

I am currently a Student at NESCOL studying Childcare and Development at level 5. I have chosen this course as I can see myself working with children as a career. Working with children is something I am good at and I feel this comes naturally to me. I am very passionate about looking after children and its something that brings me a lot of joy. I think I have the right skills and mindset to work in the childcare field and I look forward to completing this course and hopefully taking part of the level 6 childcare course next year. I hope to gain further experience in working with children.

Music Peer Support

Bridge of Don Academy
Bridge of Don, Aberdeen City
08.2022 - 06.2023

Last year I was given the opportunity to assist an S1 music class for a year. This was a great experience as this allowed me to work towards a saltire award that I acheived by the end of the year. I learned so many new skills when it came to helping the children within the class, some of these skills included:

- Finding new ways to explain concepts to the children

-Having plenty of patience

-Teamwork

-Communication

-Social skills

This was an excellent opportunity as it taught me so much and helped me realize that I would like to work with children properly as a career when I get older.
