
As a Civil/Telecom Engineer, my responsibilities consist of managing CTIL/MBNL projects and defining scopes of work, particularly for expansion, decomissioning and optimisation initiatives along with future proofing. This encompassed managing junior/new staff and external CAD resources and on site works suppliers / contractors, ensuring quality standards, and finalising civil and structural designs in coordination with in internal and external structural and electrical engineers. My technical expertise in civil telecom design includes analysing site layout drawings in accordance with Site Change Orders (SCOs) for existing projects, representing EE, Three UK, Vodafone, and Virgin Media O2 (Cornerstone). I have also collaborated on civil site layout drawings in line with Site Acceptance Forms (SAF) for new sites and Design Acceptance Forms (DAF) for existing sites. I have produced detailed working drawings for numerous telecom site configurations across multiple projects in the UK, including the recent root foundations for Apollo ARV12 and newly deployed T- and M-range poles on street works, multi-stub tower installations on rooftops, and various other towers on greenfield sites.
❖ Reviewed and validated telecom site antenna mount installation drawings across all design stages (GA, DD, AB), including tripods, steel grillages, freestanding frames, gantry poles, wall-mounted poles, roof structural bracing, plinths, and pole-mounted solutions
❖ Developed new and revised civil and structural design drawings using AutoCAD, coordinating with civil, structural, and RF engineers as well as project managers to confirm loading criteria, design parameters, and constructability
❖ Demonstrated advanced AutoCAD expertise in the design of reinforced concrete and steel structures, beams, foundations, drainage pipe elevations, highways, roads, pavements, and fully scaled construction drawings
❖ Assessed and implemented site change orders from customers, local authorities, acquisition teams, and radio planners, developing compliant engineering solutions and ensuring adherence to ICNIRP and planning regulations
❖ Executed all activities associated with the Engineering Work Order (EWO) design process, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and compliance with project specifications
❖ Performed technical analysis and engineering assessments to deliver designs aligned with project scope, programme timelines, technical standards, and cost constraints
❖ Reviewed and checked designs for compliance with client specifications, telecoms standards, industry codes of practice, and internal engineering guidelines
❖ Prepared, assembled, and reviewed fielding and site survey information, integrating site conditions and installation constraints into final engineering designs
❖ Applied civil engineering management principles, including the use of CESM, to support project delivery and cost control
❖ Maintained and audited computerized and manual records related to materials procurement, cost tracking, deliveries, asset performance, and inventory control
❖ Demonstrated strong knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, undertaking risk assessments and supporting safe design and construction practices
