I have been an avid baker from a very young age, it's helped me during alot of difficult moments in life. I joined a massage therapy group and Book club where I meet other people who have endured similar circumstances to myself, who have helped me overcome alot of fears of the known and unknown. It has created a space to be able to express my real concerns with actual people who understand. Prior to this, which was before the Pandemic, I have helped mentor a few young adults transition from a children's hospital, and help get them settled into an adult hospital, with understanding the difference, and how to adapt well, in order to better manage how they're feeling.
Hosting community charity event to help those in need in difficult situations, with the cost of living, war conflicts and health issue related. This has been a close project to my heart, as it was one of the first things I was introduced to as a young child, and have always had a keen interest in helping to organise, and executing sucessful fundraisers and family charity days.
Apart from the local community events, I am also joined to multiple activity groups at my current job, which range from being in the supply chain/procurement team bonding group, which consists of currently three people including myself. This group is set up to help organize team bonding activities across the department, as well as individual small teams within the department, to get better understanding to what everyone likes as well as learning more about the people we spend a majority of our time with; this has helped build stronger bonds within teams, and makes it more productive to progress with projects going forward.
