I have to manage patient caseloads to address social work assessments, crisis intervention and care planning. As well as prepare for planned court-related work to support vulnerable individuals.
This position mainly involved conducting client interviews and analysing their case. I prepared thorough, accurate and well-edited documents for cases, client communication and internal needs. I have conducted an interview involving a sexual offender so have been placed under an intense environment. Finally, I gathered my notes from the interview to create client info and case files for review. Then created legal filings to locate persons and compile case information.
I signposted clients to other services which can help them, including family support and housing advice services, and solicitors if the client may be eligible for legal aid. As well as helped clients fill in court forms and statements required as part of their proceedings; and supported clients with note-taking and organising papers during court hearings. This role involved working with people who were in distress and had gone through difficult experiences. I sympathised and communicated effectively with the clients in a way accustomed to the job role.

In this employment, I was placed in a fast-paced environment where I assessed stocks and correctly set targets. I identified stock issues, analysed information and helped provide solutions to problems.This included using computer skills and other analytical work. The timing was highly crucial in this position as it was supervised work where the deadlines were very important.
Politics Internship - Rochdale Sixth Form College
I developed a wider outlook of legal knowledge by taking part in a political group. This group is where I met with students to identify the current political state, identify current issues, improve my communication ability, and discuss career and vocational plans. I maintained regularly scheduled hours. As well as completed in-service and additional training to support my professional career.
