Priyani Dissanayake

Dedicated, tenacious and experienced with both a bachelor's degree and postgraduate diploma in business management. An initial 12 years was spent in various finance, management, and administrative roles before finding my real passion in life which is the care of others. The last 5 years (2003-2008) in my finance career was in senior management as a Senior Executive. I joined the NHS and spent 6 years in palliative care team at Kingston Hospital as the Advance Care Planning Coordinator and was presented with the award for 'Caring' by the CEO of Kingston Hospital at their annual staff awards ceremony. I became a Social Prescriber and worked collaboratively with the NHS Richmond Clinical Commissioning Group and other VCS organisations to deliver and promote their primary care social prescribing project. I moved back into management and was responsible for leading the delivery of a Social Prescribing project for the NHS Frimley Integrated Care Board (ICB) and Hampshire County Council. It involved extensive business development, restructuring and performance management of an underperforming service. I turned the service around and met the KPIs within 6 months. I was subsequently presented with the 'people focussed' award by Family Action in 2022 at their annual award ceremony in London. I then had the opportunity to join Enable, again as a Social Prescribing Manager, but with a larger team and remit. I managed 5 Primary Care Social Prescribing contracts for the NHS Southwest London ICB. I introduced a broad range of initiatives including service standards, new performance management metrics to assess performance and compliance etc. My excellent client relationship management lead to significant opportunities for further growth. Also, my excellent communication skills both in presentations and meetings enabled me to build strong brand awareness and develop credibility with Commissioners and Health Professionals. I was also appointed to the board of Trustees.

I am currently the Business Operations Manager for Horizon Aerospace which provides aviation consulting, aviation expert witness and various dispute resolution services. I also invigilate public exams at Reed's school during my leisure time and donate my remuneration to Andrew Reed Foundation. I am particularly interested in a position that would allow me to become involved in business development, operational and strategic management and partnership working in Social Care, Health and Wellbeing or Voluntary sector.
