As a CSR my day-to-day duties include greeting and signing customers in, answering any queries they have, and ensuring confidentiality is maintained
I also manage the session on a rota basis, this means that I ensure the health care practitioners have sufficient assessments to do and all assessments are seen in a timely manner
Another daily duty is to interact via telephone calls and Outlook/teams regularly and am confident in using various IT but also happy to learn new techniques and skills
Although there is teamwork involved it is essential to be able to meet individual deadlines and work using your own initiative
It is essential to support the entire team in order to get the most positive outcome each working day
Listening attentively to help solve issues quicker is something that I am learning even more being in the job, the customer is at the heart of the company
This job role is not limited to opportunities to grow

Her diagnosis was quite new so the college was apprehensive as to how she may behave

I also escorted her home once college has finished
The rest of the students in the class had learning disabilities so I got to learn about the spectrum of learning disabilities and the way they are taught.

I was given a great deal of responsibility throughout my time there and developed my role as a support worker

I was responsible for filling out resident care plans at times, which are to report anything that may happen and any other information that would help towards their recovery
Sometimes the work there would be of a very sensitive nature but I remained calm and professional at all times and developed a rapport with the residents who in return developed trust with me
It was highly important that all paperwork was correctly filled and filed on time to ensure the best practice of care
The role was very challenging which I enjoyed and I got to learn a lot through this placement which helped me with my degree in Mental Health.
