Redevelopment of 100 Chalk Farm Road, Demolition of existing buildings and Construction of 4 new Cylindrical shaped towers (3 Purpose Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) and 1 HA Block) in very close proximity to the Grade II listed Camden Round House. Value - £65m.

• Took over the Commercial aspects of the projects from the Pre-Construction team.
• Was in charge of setting up all Commercial processes on this project and was able to do so due to my early engagement on this project.
• Hiring and recruitment of SQS/ AQS to the Commercial team
• Work with the programmer/ planner to set up the Tender Event Schedule whilst navigating the potential impacts of BSR approvals/ rejections.
• Procurement and management of specialist contractors to contribute towards the BSR gateway 2 submission.
• Dealing with client team on all matters relating to valuations and changes.
• Procurement and management of early works packages Demolition and Piling whilst reviewing and finalising the best procurement strategies for high risk packages such as Groundworks, RC Frame, Façade and MEP.
• Project is on-going at Demolition stage.

Regal London Construction Limited | 37-39 Clarendon Road, Watford

Redevelopment of 37-39 Clarendon Road, Demolition of existing buildings and Construction of 2 new towers (25 Storey Residential tower and 11 Storey Commercial tower). Value - £86m.

• Joined the team as a no.2 QS but stepped up and took over the scheme in 3 months as the existing Commercial Lead departed.
• Conclusion of the market testing exercise to set the Project Construction Budget
• Hiring and recruitment of QS/ AQS and a Freelance QS to the Commercial team
• Led the Commercial team to ensure that the Procurement is in line with the TES
• Navigating the liquidation of the RC Frame contractor on a project that is already on a tight programme and dealing with the administrators and helping the business collect information to ensure that the claim from the administrators is dealt with.
• Dealing with client team on all matters relating to valuations and changes.
• Management of EOT claims from Façade, Frame, MEP and Drylining contractors.
• Led the team to ensure that we were prepared for the ISO Audit which was successful.
• Assisted and mentored my AQS in professional development and University studies.
• Final Account agreements for key packages whilst ensuring the team is also delivering final accounts while protecting the CVR.
• Assisted the team in bringing the project to successful Practical Completion on time in 2 phases despite the delay in RC Frame due to the originally appointed contractor going into liquidation.
• I gradually stepped away from the project towards the end to set up the new Project.

Bouygues (UK) Limited | Maitland Park Villas Housing Development. (2-stage tender)

Demolition of part of the existing building and Construction of 4 new blocks (119 units Social and Private) in Camden. Value – Circa £40m.

• Procurement and Management of the Demolition and Piling packages with risk management and improved margin as part of PCSA works.
• Working on the 2-stage tender from pricing stage 3 &4 design to assisting in ensuring that the Main Contract is secured.
• Procurement and Management of key subcontract packages. Overseeing various VE options to manage and maintain the margin and provisions.
• Tracking and recovering variations and changes.
• Management of monthly Sub-Contract valuations and processing payments using EDIFICE/ SAP & PayApps.
• Utilisation of BIM to aid in procurement and clash detection. Dispute resolution and claim management.
• Negotiating final accounts on complex packages. Management of CVR.
• Management of Procurement schedule. Management of Project Prelims.

Bouygues (UK) Limited | Fountains Close Housing Development – Phase 2

Demolition of 20 Flats and Construction of 11 traditional masonry residential units for Richmond Housing Partnership. Site located in Feltham and the project value of £2.5m.

• Management of ALL Commercial elements on this project from start to handover from Procurement to Final Account.
• Worked closely with the Project Manager to ensure that procurement is done in line with the TES and the margin is maintained/ improved.
• Perform risk, value management and cost control during construction.
• Dispute resolutions and claim management.
• Management of monthly Sub-Contract valuations and processing payments using EDIFICE/ SAP.
• Client liaison and Main Contract administration.
• Client valuations and pricing of Main Contract variations.
• Overseeing the handover of project to post completion department.

Demolition of part of the existing building and Construction of 2 new blocks in Blackheath. Value – Circa £50m.

• Involved in the pricing exercise of stage 3 design to assisting in ensuring that the Main Contract is secured.
• Preparing of tender packages i.e. scope, BoQ, project requirements for costs checking exercise.
• Prepared and analysed project costings for tenders, such as materials, quantities, labour and time.
• Assessing risks and allocation provisions within packages during pre- construction stage.
• Procurement and management of enabling works.

Bouygues (UK) Limited |Fountains Close Housing Development – Phase 1

Construction of 88 units comprising of 4 Lightweight Steel Frame blocks, 1 traditional block of flats and 12 traditional houses units for Richmond Housing Partnership; Site located in Feltham & Project value of £25m.

• Took over from a departing Surveyor who was managing all the internal trades.
• Procurement and management of internal/ finishing trades that was not finalised yet.
• Monthly Sub-Contract valuations on site and payments using EDIFICE/ SAP.
• Identified, analysed and developed responses to commercial risks.
• Provided assistance on contractual claims and disputes.
• Management of CVR and Prelims of allocated packages.
• Assisting in the handover of project to post completion department.

Bouygues (UK) Limited | 45 Cannon Street / Citizen M Hotel

Construction of Category-A office building in Central London. Project Value - £35m. Construction of Citizen M Shoreditch village, assisted in procurement in conjunction with 45 CST Project.

• Prepared subcontract tender documents, contracts, bills of quantities and tender documentation.
• Procurement of allocated packages from start to finish (Temporary Electrics, Finishing Trades)
• Assisted the Project Surveyor(s) in Procurement of rest of the packages.
• Taking off/ Measurement using software such as CAD and Design Review, also used Traditional method using scale ruler and Dimension paper for Drylining package.
• Took over most of the packages for Sub-Contract packages (with assistance from Managing Surveyor) for Contract Admin when the Project Surveyor left the business.
• Management of Sub-Contractors and Consultant payments using EDIFICE/ SAP.
• Tracked changes to the design and/or construction work and adjusted budget projections accordingly.
• Assisted in Final Accounts
• Promoted to Assistant Quantity Surveyor on this Project
