As Sub Assistant Engineer (Junior Engineer) in Central Design Office and on deployment at Investigation & Planning Circle - 1.
Engaged in Rural Infrastructure & Development Fund (NABARD) Irrigation & Waterways projects all over West Bengal (India) as a team member under Executive Engineer and assisted Executive Engineer and Assistant Engineer in documenting specially preparing drawal application which is tabulated in special charter given by NABARD on percentages of the works completed by divisional and sub- divisional offices. Prepared detailed quarterly progress reports and checked project completion status along with estimates from different offices under Irrigation Department.
Prepared technical reports and arranged for survey or investigation work.
Supported on-time and under-budget project completion by proactively communicating challenges and updates.
Kept up to date with technical developments, national standards and legislative requirements.
Wrote and oversaw preparation of contractual and technical documents.
Managed construction flow and timetable, liaising with architects and management teams to resolve technical issues.
Worked as estimator in a private limited architectural & civil firm (Sanon Sen & Associates) from 2003 to 2005, assisted in tendering works during above mentioned period and supervised various constructional works.
Worked as construction site supervisor mainly in residential and commercial building construction and side by side as estimator in this company and persued legal certificates from municipal commissions. (2001 to 2003)
privately worked as a mature building draughtsman (Autocad) under different municipal trade licence holders. (2001 to 2003)
Estimated quantities and cost of materials, equipment and labour requirements to determine project feasibility.
Visited sites to review work progress and drive process improvements.
