At Nationwide, I have successfully migrated 700 call centre staff to new Cisco-based systems with zero major issues. At Vodafone and O2, I was a programme test manager /project manager to design and implement data centre migration programmes.
At Halifax Share Dealing (HSDL), I have worked on three projects managing 30+ resources and planned and implemented test execution for three projects. I could reduce the cost of testing by 40% by innovatively using trainees for testing purposes and developing a control mechanism to ensure trainees deliver the expected results.
Re-Skin: This project gave a new look to the 4 HSDL websites, including Halifax, Bank Of Scotland, Iweb and The Motley Fool.
Direct Investments: - This project introduces e-investments in Lloyds and direct investment for the HSDL websites to allow customers to invest and manage their investments directly.
Cyclone:- This project is about Migrating all the Lloyds Share Dealing back-end systems, including the data from Equinity to Halifax Share Dealing. This includes Certificate Sales, Share Dealing activities, and all the data of the existing customers.
FATCA:- This project is about implementing the US Treasury Department's regulations. I have led the team that tested changes to existing applications and reports.
RBS and its IT services purchased part of ABN AMRO, and its IT infrastructure was hosted at two data centres in Amstelveen. The Amstelveen Data Centre Exit Programme (ADCE) was implemented to migrate the IT infrastructure to Edinburgh. I was the first test person on the ground responsible for creating and implementing a test strategy for the Migration of shared services. I have managed to test and facilitate the Migration of 350 physical servers with 25 shared services such as VMware, Citrix, Secure Gateway, RSA, LDAP, Oracle Grid, Site minder, Websphere, MQ Series, NETHSM, Network Management, Web Services, etc. Additionally, I got to act as a project manager and migrate NETHSM and Siteminder services.
YBS has acquired Chelsea Building Society (CBS), and I was onboarded to work on Chelsea Integration and Securitisation projects. As part of these projects, my responsibilities were to prepare test plans and onboard resources, train them, manage system testing, integration testing, and UAT, and ensure the completion of testing to the agreed standards and budget.
Reporting to the Programme Office Manager, I was responsible for establishing, governing arrangements, budgeting, and developing the Testing function within Somerset Health Informatics Service (SHIS). Within six months, the department that started with me grew into a ten-member team. I delivered testing for rollouts such as Datacenter Migration, Cerner Millenium Implementation, Somerset Cancer Register, and Swift Plus.
