I am a compassionate and motivated individual with a strong passion for supporting children and young people. With a degree in Psychology and a Certificate in Counselling Skills, I bring a solid foundation in understanding development, mental health, and trauma-informed care. My experience working in mental health hospitals and nursery settings has equipped me with the patience, empathy, and resilience needed to provide high-quality, person-centred support. I am to build trusting relationships and act as a positive role model. I understand the importance of creating a safe, structured, and nurturing environment where young people can feel secure, valued, and empowered. I am committed to working as part of a team, promoting safeguarding, and contributing to the holistic development and wellbeing of each young person.
On going volunteered at Nacos helpline supporting young people affected by parental alcohol misuse, offering emotional support, active listening, and signposting to appropriate services. Developed strong communication skills, empathy, and an understanding of the complex challenges faced by vulnerable children and young people—experience which has strengthened my ability to provide compassionate, trauma-informed care in residential settings.
