I feel my lived history and volunteer work stands me in good stead to begin a career in mental health which is my passion.

I currently work as a volunteer for mental health C.I.C. The Spider Project where I run a creative writing group as well as various music groups.
My role includes creating a safe environment for members engaging in the Creative Recovery programme, liaising with staff about any issues with members and ensuring company safe guarding procedures are adhered to.
Maintained all outside areas of various private properties and commercial sites including a number of primary schools.

I started with HMV in the Cheshire Oaks branch in 2003 and was promoted to Stockroom Controller of the Birkenhead branch in 2004. After the closure of this branch, I transferred to the same role in the Liverpool branch.
Tasks included overseeing the day to day management of a busy stockroom, organising and managing a team of up to ten people, accurate booking in and out of stock and assisting customers with enquiries both on the phone and in person.
