Currently working on a consultancy basis for an Academy Trust advising on new academy builds, working alongside the Department of Education (DfE) and liaising with architects and building contractors.

• Managed the day to day running of the academies (currently 7) within the Trust with responsibility for the buildings and facilities.
• Acted as the Trust's Health and Safety Officer including COSHH and IOSH and produced risk assessments.
• Conducted regular health and safety audits and implemented recommendations.
• Facilitated staff training on health and safety protocols.
• Maintained the buildings, organised programmes of work and planned maintenance, sourced suppliers, negotiated contracts and terms and liaised with contractors - all within a designated budget.
• Updated and maintained accurate records of maintenance and facilities operations
• Implemented energy saving initiatives leading to a reduction in utility expenses.
• Monitored building security systems and procedures, ensuring the safety of staff, students and assets.
• Organised the maintenance of the school mini buses.
• Prepared and submitted reports and presented budget and maintenance information to the Academy Trustees.
• Prepared and submitted bids to DfE schools improvement fund for academy building improvements, securing over 4 million pounds in funding.
• Oversaw renovation and building improvement projects from conception to completion, minimising disruption to staff and students.
• Managed and supervised all school caretakers and cleaners within the Trust academies conducting staff appraisals and setting targets.

• Oversaw large depot operations, prioritising security, health and safety, and facility management.
• Directed depot stores and supervised stores personnel to maintain effective inventory control.
• Coordinated maintenance and operations of depot buildings to ensure operational efficiency.

Co-ordinated the management of empty council housing. Liaised with council trades to ensure that empty properties were, cleared, repaired and maintained within timescales in order to be ready for new tenants.

Completed apprenticeship and worked in council properties across Stockton Borough, focusing on plumbing and heating. Promoted to chargehand and then foreman, supervising plumbers and tradesmen. Monitored performance and organised work programmes to ensure project completion.
