  • Pursuing land purchases primarily via option agreements, working directly with vendors and agents to achieve planning permission for new developments within Dorset, Wiltshire and Hampshire.
  • Over 50 properties and land purchases or options for personal and clients portfolios.
  • Purchasing off market properties at below market value prices to redevelop and/or title split to then resell. Tasks included liaising with brokers, mortgages lenders and joint venture partners.
  • Build and develop relationships at all levels with key individuals and groups related to the acquisition of land and the planning process, which includes, landowners, agents, consultants, local authority officers, solicitors and architects.
  • To understand and respect the principles of the strategic objectives and principles of the local plans and Core Strategies of the Local Planning Authorities.
  • Collate information relevant to each project, which may include build costs, sales projections, viability assessments, financial assessment.

  • I initially started the business as a sports bar and pool club, and at the time I was the youngest person in Dorset to be granted an alcohol licence. Tasks ranged from accounting for the business, hiring staff, day to day management, marketing and organising events.
  • In 2005 the business changed from a sports bar to a nightclub. As a nightclub, tasks included refurbishing the premises (liaising with trades persons), understanding door security/licensing, accounting, ensuring sales targets were met etc. During this time, I also was Chairman of Pub Watch for Poole Town Centre and worked closely with the Police and Consumer Protection.
