  • In 2019 I was widowed and had to leave my full time job at Brett Martin. At this point I set up an online business specialising in the sale of radio control car parts. I quickly diversified into other types of products and when covid hit the online market went through the roof. Unfortunately since then the market has seen a major decline. so although the business still runs it is very slow and takes up very little time.

  • I started brett martin as a grade 3 operator and within 1 year i had moved to a grade 2 tech Op position. Within 3 years I was a Grade 1 Tech op. my job duties included:
  • Setting, maintaining and operating advanced production machinery. Consistently monitoring parameters to make sure machines are running as efficiently as possible. I would be in charge of 2 machines at a time while overseeing trainee Tech ops and the machines they were responsible for.
  • Conducting regular quality checks to ensure that all products meet the required standards. This involved inspecting products for quality issues and documenting any discrepancies. This was extremely was the last person to see most of the products I was manufacturing before they reached the customer.
  • Maintaining health and safety standards through housekeeping and environmental compliance.
  • Participating in continuous training.
  • Collaborating with managers, team leaders, quality staff etc to ensure goals, aims and procedures were fully understood and achieved.
