Summary

I have been a servicing Ministry of Defence Police officer for over thirty nine (39) years as a Police / Detective Constable and Detective / Police Sergeant. The latter for sixteen (16) years.


In that time I have served throughout the Unitied Kingdom, Devon, Buckinghamshire, Essex and predominantly extensively throughout London.


I have worked within many different establishments as well as being part of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) at both regional and Nationwide levels, working alongside other Home Office Police and other investigators such as DWP, Post Office Investigations etc.


As such I have created complicated Crime / Court Files and lead investigations to successful convictions leading to substancial prison sentances for which I recieved a Head of CID Commendation.


Whilst with the Major Incident Room I was fully conversant with the HOLMES 2 computer aided investigation package, within the roles of both Reciever / Reader / Action Manager and Disclosure. Being a supervisor I also had oversight of many of the other roles. Completing courses in February 2008.


I completed a CASWEB Operators course with the West Midlands Police in December 2007 which assisted me in understanding and later taking part in Major Incident Exercises at Stanstead Airport alongside the Essex Police.


Throughout my career I have had cause to drive police vehicles, both police marked and unmarked from cars and minibuses as well as LWB vans and the MIR Satalite van based office. I have carried out a basic Police driving course for which I have MDP certificates.


During my career I have also completed many and varied compentcey training along with Leadership and Management courses.


I have also served in Kosovo for the year in 2000 / 1 serving with the United Nations. Where I had the ability to drive 4 x 4 police vehicles on and off Kosovan roads.


All of the above responsibilities have enabled me to record all types of statements and reports both thoroughly and concisely. I have a high level of computer skills with most of MS Office as well as management tools used within my roles over the years. I am proficient in my ability to learn new systems as necessary.
