Role Purpose

  • Contribute to the effective provision of a Building Cleaning Service to all customers to ensure that SLA’s are met and working towards the continuous improvement of service delivery and the performance of the Assets & Facilities Service.
  • Maintain Assets & Facilities Service objectives by contributing to team working and flexibility, contributing to the overall success of the Council.
  • Thorough understanding of objectives work with customers to support the achievement of Service and Council goals.
  • Assist in the delivery of a quality customer focused service to ensure a high return of customer satisfaction, ensuring a quality cleaning service is provided.
  • Maintain Assets & Facilities objectives by contributing to team working and flexibility, contributing to the overall success of the Council.
  • Work towards the continuous improvement of service delivery of Assets & Facilities

Role Accountabilities & Key Activities

  • Facility Management Operations
  • Contribute to the provision of a quality Assets & Facilities Service by meeting the SLA’ in relation to Building Cleaning for Education and Non-education Buildings. This includes carrying out cleaning duties ensuring a quality cleaning service is provided, setting-up of lets when requested, making sure rooms are secure after cleaning and clearing away of all rubbish and the replenishing of all disposables as required to ensure the Health and Safety Legislation and all SLA’s are met.
  • Deliver an effective cleaning service for Assets & Facilities and other Service users e.g. Education and non-education customers ensuring that the Service provision undertaken meets specific service group requirements and contributes towards SLA’s and KPI’s.
  • Organise individual workload to ensure that productivity levels are met and that a quality cleaning service is provided.
  • Compliance
  • Assist in the maintenance of a safe environment for employees within Assets & Facilities and other service users within the Council by having regard to all Health and Safety legislation, local agreements and Council Policy and Procedures.

  • Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with all customers by developing a mutual understanding of needs whilst ensuring performance against agreed standards and objectives.
