In this role I drove a range of vehicles making deliveries of glass. I demonstrated punctuality by consistently arriving at pickups and deliveries on time, familiarising myself with new areas quickly enhancing delivery speed. I conducted daily inspections on HGV vehicles ensuring optimal performance and that they were road legal. I provided excellent customer service to foster client relationships.
In this role I operated various HGV vehicles either in a General Haulage role or a Multi drop capacity.
In this role I was in charge of the day to day stock control and ran the companies overflow warehouse. I worked closely with the purchasing department to ensure that goods were ordered on time to meet customers needs as well as working with the dispatch manager to ensure he had the stock he needed to fulfil orders.
I served as a driver and then Gunner on CVRT vehicles as part of one of the British Army's reconnaissance regiments. I spent much of this time based in Germany but also served in Iraq in 2003 and 2005. In this role I maintained the vehicles and equipment often operating in difficult situations both on exercise and operational duty. I undertook many extra training courses such as the Team Medic course which was valuable on Operations. During my second Iraq tour I was made the Squadron Leaders driver which I was very proud of. I feel that this role has given me a strong resilience and made me a good team player.
