A multi-skilled engineer with electrical bias working within a team to ensure plant reliability and minimum production downtime, assisting and mentoring colleagues when required but able to work independently or as part of a multi-disciplined skilled team.

Quite often the only senior engineer on shift, I must ensure the safe working practices of planned maintenance teams and business partner engineers on site, guaranteeing the correct permits are used and equipment is safely isolated for maintenance activities.

I am a responsible an asset champion for fault finding, repair, and continuous improvement of all Plant and Equipment associated with the manufacturing of News Print. Including Joloda automated wagon reel unloading (SIEMENS S7, profibus HMI touchscreen), Ecklemann automated reel conveying Systems (S7, profibus, Asi-bus, ethernet), Uveritas automated reel Preparation (S7, HMI touchscreens, profibus, ethernet), Mlog Lowbay automated storage and retrieval (S7, HMI touch screens, profibus, ethernet), Man Roland XXL Colorman Presses (Pecom, interbus (multiprog KW), Baumüller Drives, Ferag UTR conveyors and MTS stackers , Mosca Strappers (S7), Dring waste conveyor (SIEMENS TIA Portal), Dan Automated Palletisers (S7, HMI, Profibus,and Asi-bus), Octopus Wrapping machines (S7), BEK ink delivery system, waste recovery and recycling (direct Logic PLC, Siemens LOGO).

• Lead Technical Services Engineer on the retrofitting of new Altivar ATV340 drives to replace obsolete Altivar 71 drives on DAN Palletisers.
• VMWare Virtualization specialist.
• Created working VMWare systems for Security, Internal CBM PC, MAN Roland ADS & Softproof machines, AGFA CTP NELA Benders, Kodak Versamark CS410 system.
• Repair of All OEM PC's & Server's, including, FERAG PRA-PC's, MAN Roland ADS PC's. MAN Roland Softproof PC's. MAN Roland PPM Server PC's. MAN Roland PrintNET Server PC's.
• Sourcing & Building PC's for OEM's.
• Author of numerous TIG's and one-point lessons.
