Advanced Independent Monitoring is an Alarm Receiving Centre. Our clients are independent Alarm Installers who use us to monitor their customer's alarm systems, and to take action on any alarm activations for their customers.
My role in the company is Data Administration. Alarm Installers will e-mail Data Admin with any requests or queries they have. These requests include:-
- Setting up new contracts for any new customers on behalf of Alarm Installers we look after. This also includes purchasing any equipment that is requested by Alarm Installers.
- Amending any contracts we have set up in line with requests from Alarm Installers. This includes:-
1) Keyholder details
2) Address details
3) Setting up Open / Close Schedules for alarm monitoring purposes
4) Setting up Procedures for our Alarm Receiving Centre to follow in case of any alarm activations
- Cancelling any contracts in line with requests from the Alarm Installers
- Answering phones and speaking to Alarm Installers, liaising with them, and assisting with any concerns or queries that they have with their customer's contracts
Post Room:-
- Handling all incoming post, distributing it to the relevant departments
- Printing letters to be sent out to customers.
- Supervising temporary staff for a "Data Cleanse" project between August 2010 - August 2011. Helping them with any queries they had.
- Setting up any contracts for new customers, including setting up Direct Debits.
- Quality Control:- Checking through all new contracts set up by colleagues, correcting any mistakes that have been made, and providing feedback to colleagues.
- Liaising with customers, making sure they are satisfied with the service provided.
- Responsible for working on the checkout, tilling items for customers.
- Stacking shelves, making sure stock levels on the shop floor were maintained.
This job was a temporary job only for Saturdays on the run up to Christmas.
