• Sole responsibility for currency hedging and managing non-base cash liquidity for the whole of the Fixed Income Portfolio Management team (FIG) across 480+ multi-currency portfolios, managed in the UK and the US, with a $430 Billion yearly turnover. The creation and periodic sign off of Insights FX repatriation policy.
• Sole responsibility for Government Bond and Currency Futures for FIG across 500+ portfolios and with a $200 Billion yearly turnover.
• Oversight and support for the Transitions and Onboarding team. General planning and guidance for and behalf of FIG. Assisting with instruction letter drafting. Acting as a generalised substitution for Portfolio Managers in internal meetings. FX risk hedge adjustments.
• Checking and authorising thinkFolio guideline coding. Guideline coding team guidance. The creation of Portfolio Management coding designed to ease the management of a portfolio, the capture special events or trading and settlement issues.
• Duration hedging and simple portfolio rebalancing in the light of external cashflows.
• FIG process support and back-office guidance. Initiating process improvements.
• The attendance of various project and steering committees. Not limited to the Insight/NT Rehypothecation Working group and the Onboarding Prioritisation working Group.
• Other duties include but are not limited to the sign off of Guideline and instruction letter drafting. Guideline coding infringement resolution. Unitised trade instruction. New Issue trade support. Corporate actions coordination. Front office process improvements and new system introduction. Front Office system user acceptance testing. Income distribution oversight. OTC trade calculation.
