I have worked for Wiltshire Police for over 22 years, in that time I have worked in many aspects of Policing, from taking 999 calls, controlling resources, taking crime reports remotely and providing safeguarding and support for victims and witnesses.
In 2009 I moved into investigating volume crime ( shoplifting, assaults, theft) and then took the relevant qualifications to move into serious and complex offences.
I worked in CID dealing with robbery, violent offences and terrorism. I then moved into my preferred area of Child Abuse. Investigating the most heinous of crimes, sexual and physical abuse involving children.
In that time I have taken many cases to crown court and secured prison sentences to dangerous offenders and have protected the most vulnerable members of our society.
I have produced a high level of files to present in Crown court worked with multi agencies to protect children.
I have taken on the role of Acting Supervisor for the department, county wide, working with shareholders, internal and external departments to provide support for a common goal.
I have been trained in various side elements, including drug testiing and examination of digital media using KIOSK which is the internationally recognised software.
though I am part of a team, I carry my own workload of up to 18 cases at any one time, this is a high pressured and emotionally charged area of business due to the daily exposure of upsetting material.
