
Dissertation Project: "To what extent is the implementation of international refugee law within the EU tainted with discrimination based on nationality and race?" (2023-2024)
Reviewed and synthesised existing literature on International Refugee Law, EU policies, racial discrimination, and nationality discrimination and critically analysed this to deduce conclusions. This project increased my competence in identifying niches and controversies within academic journals when contrasted against other legal systems of EU Member States. A research framework and methodology was designed, appropriate for investigating the extent of racial and nationality discrimination in the implementation of International Refugee Law, by comparing De Jure law's enshrined in the Refugee Convention versus De Facto practice.
Finally, project management skills were utilised to certify appropriate time was dedicated to researching and analysing International Refugee Law and EU legal frameworks, ensuring varying perspectives from law, sociology, and political science, were integrated into the composition of the final thesis.
