I bring a unique combination of professional healthcare experience and community based coaching expertise that makes me well suited for the role I am applying for. As a former nurse, I have a strong clinical foundation, excellent communication skills and the ability to deliver sensitive health messages with accuracy and empathy. My work as a coach and running participation officer has strengthened my skills in motivating individuals to adapt a healthier lifestyle from a wide range of age groups and backgrounds.
I am passionate about empowering people to make informed choices around sun safety and smoking cessation and I think I demonstrated this well in working with the Skin Care in the Sun team at Cancer Focus NI to initiate the program for Athletics NI.
Having supported people both in healthcare and sport, I am confident I can inspire and educate people in making better choices around smoking and vaping cessation, sun bed use and skin care in the sun.
