All the day to day running of the business is done by me.
This includes ordering of stock, doing the rotas, managing staff,kitchen and the bar. During the daily running of the pub I ensure everywhere is clean and tidy and pride myself on providing excellent customer service.
I have my own personal licence.
Line cleaning, upkeep of the cellar is also done by myself to ensure products are served at there best.
I rented Englands Glory from a pub company therefore everything was my responsibility.
I handed the pub back due to unreasonable rent and product price increases and the pub company wanted to do refurbishments and expected me to pay towards this.
I started working for longfield as a volunteer then was offered position of manager in 3 of their shops.
This position involved working closely with the retail manager to achieve targets.
The day to day running of the shops was my responsibility. This included sorting and maintaining stock levels, recruiting volunteers, managing staff and doing rotas.
This was a challenging job but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I only left as I had the once in a lifetime chance to take on my own pub.
I have my personal licence and level 3 food hygiene certificate.
I have done first aid but my certificate has run out but I am very willy to redo it.
I also did a lambing course to provide the best care for my sheep when I had them.
