Paula Cowell

With nearly 30 years of dedicated experience in primary education, I have developed a deep understanding of how to nurture and support children across a wide range of abilities and backgrounds. I am committed to adaptive teaching approaches that ensure every child can access learning and thrive, regardless of their individual needs.

Throughout my career, I have coordinated a variety of subjects, contributing to whole-school development and curriculum leadership. My particular passion lies in mathematics, where I have consistently aimed to make learning meaningful, engaging, and accessible to all. Most recently, I completed the National Professional Qualification in Leading Primary Maths (NPQLPM), which has further deepened my subject knowledge and enhanced my ability to support colleagues in delivering high-quality maths teaching across the school.

I am especially passionate about empowering both pupils and fellow educators in the subject of maths, helping to raise attainment and confidence through collaborative, evidence-informed approaches.

At the heart of my teaching is a genuine desire to make a positive difference in children’s lives—academically, socially, and emotionally. I strive to create inclusive, nurturing learning environments where every child feels valued, supported, and inspired to achieve their full potential.
