• Manage and prioritise own workload for issues and projects
• Architect and deliver high quality systems (HQS) at all sites in the trust
• Work with ICT Cluster Network Managers to deliver HQS to academies.
• Liaise with external providers to ensure projects meet the goals and stay on cost and time.
• Develop changes to policy and procedure to advise ICT Manager to ensure the highest possible standards.
• Negotiate and influence stakeholders to ensure trust vision is delivered effectively and where appropriate defend and negotiate Ideas and plans with ICT Manager and central team to ensure site specific requirement are met.
• Ensure that Patch Management and End Point protection is effective and up to date, raising issues with local academy teams where appropriate
• Automate processes and procedures where appropriate to ensure effective use of ICT trust wide
• Perform trust Identity management as appropriate.
• Plan and Deliver ICT projects, hardware, software or cloud based
• Create standard operating process and procedures with input from stake holders for local academies to follow
• Assist in defining policy and procedure regarding ICT Systems
• Identify potential security and safeguarding issues and either resolve or escalate as needed.
· To ensure a safe, secure environment for students to thrive and enhance the teaching and learning within the school.
· Manage all onsite servers, switches, Wi-Fi, and end user devices.
· Creation and ongoing updates of policies (GPO's) to manages devices and on-premise data access.
· Create staff accounts within Active Directory, schools MIS system and third-party software access.
· Manage backup strategy including shadow copy, testing of data integrity and restore data.
· Maintain, upgrade and fault finding of services including canteen system, CCTV, door access and printing.
· Work in alignment with user needs and system functionality to aid teaching and learning.
· Work with the network manager to create/update the IT development plan.
· Create technical specifications for equipment, requesting quotations, looking for a cost effective solution that will outlast the life cycle of the item within the development plan.
· Act as third line support for staff to assist staff with fault finding.
· Liaise with suppliers for support, updates and general queries regarding developments in their fields.
· Help train teachers, support, and technical staff to improve their knowledge and understanding of IT.
· Support and cover for the network manager when required
