As a planner and allocator my role was to plan drivers day to day jobs driving commercial vehicles around the UK delivering the vehicles to customers for truck dealerships like DAF/Mercedes/Iveco etc , this was done through a website and a PDA that the drivers had , I was planning day to day for 16 drivers
Also had the job of booking hire cars for the drivers to get from A-B and booking hotels for the drivers if they were on a night out.
Also from time to time I was responsible for processing and paying the drivers wages.
As a planner and allocator I was on call 24/7 to take any phones from customers and drivers.
Dealing with vehicle breakdowns , calling the 24 hour breakdown service to go out to the broken down vehicle depending on which vehicle dealership it was

I was responsible for the day to day planning for the 16 trade plate drivers on what work they were doing and allocating the work out on the software and on the PDA's that the drivers had
I organised their work and had to book hires cars for them to get from A-B and also booking hotels if the drivers were on a night out As I was the transport planner in was on call 24/7 to take business calls along with calls from drivers
As we were moving vehicles customers like DAF and Mercedes I would have to deal with from time to time when vehicles broke down on route the breakdown service to go out and repair the vehicle so the driver could continue on his journey
I was always the first point of call for customers by either phone or email to arrange movement of their vehicles so I have good experience of communication skills by email or phone
