Summary

  • Dedicated professional with extensive expertise in workplace safety and operational efficiency. Hold key certifications including NEBOSH Level 3 which I have held since 2008 , Level 3 in First Aid at Work, COSHH, LEAN, and Fire Training. Have a proven ability to enhance safety protocols and streamline processes within diverse environments. Committed to continuous improvement and maintaining high standards of health and safety compliance.
  • Have a professional drive and commitment to promoting workplace safety and environmental sustainability. Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams. Would be eager to implement these skills to help create a safer, more compliant work environment in a SHE advisor role at BAE.
  • As the manager in our textile factory, my day to day SHE responsibilities include a factory audit, working through our critical procedures which include fork lift truck and overhead crane inspection. Pre checks are carried out before plant can be started up. A rigorous inspection is carried out to identify any underlying issues.
  • I have a history of using CI Tools to help increase efficiency, reduce waste and cut "near misses". Behavioural auditing and routine factory walks help spot potential hazards and signs of complacency which could lead to accidents.
  • Attending regular SHE panel meetings keeps me informed and up to date with any new legislation, relevant hazards & near misses as well as setting new goals and completion dates. Minutes taken are then discussed at departmental meetings further promoting a safe working culture.
  • Accident Investigation is crucial in my role. Although accidents are rare, they do occur. Gathering all the evidence and documenting my findings efficiently and accurately is essential. This report confirms the route cause of the accident and implements changes to prevent it happening again. Any updates made are recorded and closely monitored.

  • In 2022 I was the lead project manager which had me travelling around the country, interacting with other companies within the same industry to see what type of new equipment might work for us. This led to the purchase of more efficient machinery, resulting in the decrease in energy and water whilst increasing production and therefore was hailed a quite a success.
