Shifts were 12h, having day/night teams which would alternate throughout the season.
Supervising over a team of eight headers and four chaser bins.
Maintenance would take place at the end of the night shift - beginning of day shift where one person would blow down all the headers while the rest of the team would grease, change knives, fuel up, check the levels and assist the workshop with major repairs.
