Experienced & skilled senior traffic signals installer with over 20 years experience in electrical traffic signal systems, maintenance & team leadership. Currently employed by Swarco as a senior traffic signals installer in charge of a small team. For years I have been the go to guy for wiring small to large junction controller cabinets due to my experience, although I am experienced in the full installation process of traffic signal systems including full install to all electrical connections and system commissioning's and handover with the customer. Skilled in reading technical drawings, and making wiring diagrams to suit each site, setting out equipment locations, and ensuring all works comply with safety standards and local authority specifications. Duties include installation of cable, poles, pedestrian push buttons, signal heads, detection, cable joints, controllers, and final testing to ensure correct operation followed with electrical testing. I also attend RTA's and retro fitting of old traffic signal installations. I have a strong eye for detail, and a perfectionist approach that ensures work is completed to the very highest standard. From leaving school I started work here to be trained up as a specialist wood turner for R.G. Hardie & Co known worldwide for there expertise craftmanship, producing high-precision bagpipes to world-class standards. I took pride in my work and loved seeing the finished product that I had made scratch.
