Summary

I am a conscientious carer who provides compassionate care and support to patients in their home setting. I ave worked in social care for over 9 years having left a carer in security and have enjoyed every moment. I thrive on being able to promote individuals well-being through support with daily living tasks, social and leisure activities as well as ensuring their dignity and comfort at all times.

In the last 8 years i have undertaken some 'traditional' home care roles but have also supported 2 individuals with life long needs, one young adult who had muscular distrophy who required all care 24hrs a day, the other a middle ages man with an acquired brain injury. Both of these individuals had challenging needs which required specific training in PEG feeding, the use of breathing apparatus, challenging behaviours, managing alcohol misuse and complicated family dynamics. All of which i undertook.

I am always open to new challenges and willing to undertake any training necessary to ensure I continue to deliver a high standard of care.

I am a trustworthy, loyal person and pride myself on good manners, respectfulness and being punctual at all times.
