I am a postgraduate student studying biodiversity and conservation at the University of Leeds. Last year I made the transition from working as a Forestry England land agent to postgraduate study. I was inspired by the work of my ecologist and conservationist colleagues to make this change, and it became clear that this was the career I would pursue. This desire was galvanised by the critical importance of conservation work in combating the prevailing global climate and biodiversity crisis. I am particularly interested in habitat restoration, human-wildlife conflict, and ecosystem responses to climate change.
