My name is Patrick Carry, and I have recently graduated with a degree in Politics and International Relations from Queen Mary University of London. Throughout my time in higher education, I have acquired valuable experience through my course, my year abroad at Leiden University and my work experience as a Young Advisor for Fight 4 Change.
I consider myself to be reliable and inquisitive. When faced with the opportunity to acquire new skills or fulfil a certain role, I actively seek knowledge by asking pertinent questions. This makes me an ideal mentee/apprentice to someone with more experience. I take great satisfaction when receiving positive feedback and validation from those who have installed their trust in me. I am also receptive to constructive criticism and possess the ability to learn new skills at a fast pace. I can hyperfocus under pressure which means if a role requires deadlines to be met then I am a more then ideal candidtate. For example, during the winter period of my last year at university I was able meet all of my coursework deadlines whilst attending to my work obligations and leaving time to study for my exams.
Having finished my undergraduate degree, I am currently focused on finding a career I can dedicate myself to. I am open to internships or post-graduate schemes, but my biggest ambition is to find work opportunities and build a positive reputation among potential employers as a hard worker and useful asset.
