Chicago Maintenance and Construction

This is the construction company owned by Sunny Varkey of GEMS. Whilst working for CMC I delivered a number of schools for GEMS throughout the UAE, most notably was the extension to GEMS Wellington school on SZR that was delivered over the summer break. That was first pile to hand over and occupation.

Whilst at CMC I set up an internal MEP Division, an internal FM Division, a Joinery Factory and a Chinese Direct Sourcing Company. I also set up planning, design, QA and H&S departments internally all of which gave the programme certainty and control needed to deliver on time.
