Curious individual enthusiastic in acquiring work experience in engineering field. Eager in helping team with research and project management. Flexible with challenging situations and demanding deadlines.
I have been tasked with creating/ modifying the manufacturing processes used at FPL so that they are more efficient, cost-effective, and environmentally sustainable.
It has been an absolute delight to work at FPL. Learning about new processes and chemicals which are used to make goods that we use in our everyday lives has been eye - opening.
To learn about a whole new network of industries, deeply interconnected and all collaborating to meet the consumer demands of the world has been inspiring.
In my short time at FPL, I have learned about some of the manufacturing processes and how they function, the required reaction conditions and various other related components.
As my role as Tutor, I have tutored students of various ages. This has allowed me to be creative with the way I prepare my lessons so that I was able to help the student with their subject weaknesses and ensure that the student understood complex concepts. This led to my communaction skills improve further as I needed to be able to present my thoughts in a clear manner and make easy for the student to understand the concept easily. I was also analysed my students' strenghts and areas of improvement, and guiding them in a direction which allows them to maximise thier potential in examinations.
As an Assistant Tutor at Kumon Maths and English I was responsible for keeping a track of the progress of the students and help the grasp concepts they were struggling with.
From my experience as an assistant tutor, I learnt how to organise data, grow as an responsible and confident individual while improving my communication skills as well.
I was fortunate to be able to do an engineering work experience placement at a prestigious institution such as The Welding Institute which sparked my interest in engineering and gave me invaluable insight into the role of being an engineer.
I volunteered at my local EACH charity shop to give back to my community and for my Duke of Edinburgh silver award.
During the duration of my volunteering I demonstrated respect, friendliness and willingness to help wherever needed. I was tasked with tasks to ensure the shop was run smoothly; these included data input, quality control and stock rotation and management. These tasks helped learn valuable skills such as organisation, responsiblity, analysis and better my digital literacy.
I have won multiple table tennis tournaments and represented Cambridgeshire twice at Nationals.
I was awarded the Roy Burrell Sports Award in 2024.
I also took part in the Language Leaders programme in secondary school.
I have taken part in multiple academic competions such Junior Maths challenge and Olympiads. The most recent being the Physics and Chemistry Olympiads.
