I was born in the Philippines, but have spent most of my life in Wirral, and am eligible to work in the UK.
I attended West Kirby Grammar School, gaining 10 GCSE's.
Any spare time is taken up obsessively listening to my music, writing songs and poetry, seeing my friends, travelling to new places, learning to drive or watching Robert de Niro films.
This was my first job. I was a team member in a very busy Filipino Fast Food Restaurant in the City Centre. It was a part time position, usually working between 24 and 30 hours per week, in a restaurant that was under-staffed, which ensured it was super busy and stressful.
Both this job and the Popeye's job provided me with a similar skillset:
- After working in Jollibee for a few months I was regularly trusted to run shifts whilst managers were busy.
- Regularly communicated with all staff and customers to maintain smooth operations, minimising potential service delays.
- Served high volumes of guests in a fast-paced service environment with exceptional customer care.
- Served meals and drinks with professionalism and skill, maintaining high presentation and quality standards.
- Accurately received and processed orders, noting dietary requirements to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Processed cash and card payments promptly, minimising customer waiting times.
- Checked in with customers during meals to check orders were received correctly and met guests expectations.
- Resolved customer complaints calmly and professionally to maintain satisfaction.
I worked 5-6 days a week, 6-8 hrs a day in a highly pressured and stressful environment. I was amongst the first staff employed as this restaurant opened its doors in November 2022.
This was a well staffed establishment and so I learned a little about being a small cog in a big engine. I have come to discover through my short time working in restaurants, that I can cope well in both highly stressed and calmer environments.
A lot of the skills learned in Popeye's are similar to those learned at Jollibee, and are listed above.
I currently clean an office in Bold Street for three evenings per week. I am 100% reliable and always leave my workplace spotlessly clean.
I work alone, after office hours, to complete the cleaning. I am confident working independently as well as part of a group.
Skills learned:
- Adhering to instructions and regulations to exceed cleanliness expectations.
- Working quickly and efficiently to perform day-to-day cleaning and maintenance tasks within allotted time frames.
- Working alone cultivates a need to use ones own initiative when required.
I am a very reliable 18 year old potential employee with good organisational skills and a positive communication manner towards management, co-workers and customers.
I enjoy interactions with people, establishing friendly yet professional relationships. I try to build relationships with customers to encourage a better experience for them.
I'm very patient and will tend to the needs of both co-workers and customers with no complaints; working in fast food has trained me how to handle customers who are either angry about something or are praising something.
I have learned how to plan and prioritise, which allows me to achieve many of my goals. I am a dedicated team player, proactive and hands-on in task completion.
I am very people focused, and am comfortable working individually and in a team.
I am hard working, honest, punctual, presentable, friendly and very willing to learn and take on new responsibilities as required. I always put 100% into everything I do.
