My role within Chalk Hill is a Higher level teaching assistant/Trauma-informed practitioner. I started as a Teaching Assistant in November 2021 however, in 2022 I was gifted the opportunity to run and teach a nurture classroom for students new to Chalk Hill and undertake the opportunity to train as a Trauma informed practitioner. These students were children who had struggled in mainstream school due to several ACE's which caused them upset and difficulty in maintaining their placement in a mainstream school which caused behavioural issues. It provided the students with a safe and secure environment where they could learn and grow supporting their social and emotional development: the ultimate goal being to enable children to re-engage with life and learning.

• Led and motivated teaching to continuously improve knowledge and abilities for optimum student education and support.
• Increased student engagement by implementing creative, innovative teaching techniques, such as Smart Boards.

I started as a production assistant packing and printing baby products. I was promoted to shift supervisor maintaining the smooth running of the production lines including data input. I was then promoted to shift manager overseeing the whole site including the 60 employees on a 3-shift work pattern.
