  • Led a team of global reporters to investigate the multibillion-dollar aid sector. Spearheaded the "She Said" series on women in conflict and humanitarian crises, developed media collaborations and initiated an impact-driven investigative strategy. Investigations included breaking the WHO sex abuse scandal, the recruitment of children to Haitian gangs, a whistleblower-driven series on Oxfam misconduct and the UN's false claims of carbon neutrality.

  • Part of a team working on cross-format international investigations. Wrote and led a multi-part series on UN sexual abuse and exploitation in Haiti and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Led several investigations on multiple terror attacks and plots across Europe and the Middle East. Was also a consultant on a joint Frontline/PBS documentary focusing on widespread sex abuse in UN peacekeeping missions.

Was also the lead European security reporter on dozens of terrorism stories and helped initiate the AP's lawsuit against the British government's refusal to release a cache of documents relating to the case of former Guantanamo detainee, Binyam Mohamed. Initiated bureau-wide salary corrections for female reporters to address historical pay inequalities. Recruited new diverse staff members as part of a drive to better cover the UK. Prioritized source development across several beats. Worked closely with video and broadcast teams to produce cross format series and stories.

  • Puerto Rico-based. Led coverage from more than 30 countries with 70 journalists. Stories included environmental disasters, humanitarian crises, political violence and politics. Worked with senior AP management to bolster pay and benefits for local staff and freelancers. Led reporting on the US prison camp at Guantanamo Bay and broke several award-winning investigations about secret interrogation tactics and torture. Additional reporting included stints in Afghanistan, Cuba, Israel, Haiti and Pakistan.
