
I am a versatile professional with a strong background in teamwork and customer service, demonstrated through roles such as prefect during my GCSE's and student rep during A-level's and University. Skilled in effective communication, teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving, honed through experiences like the Duke of Edinburgh's Award expeditions. As well as proven ability to adapt to new environments, as evidenced by volunteering in Thailand. Committed to continuous personal and professional development with a focus on criminology.
I've been working at MJ Dalton's since early 2020, beigning as a saturday lad where my role was to ensure cleanliness of countertops and equipment. Since then I have progressed and remianed there after the company changed hands and now I help package and make goods (e.g. burgers, meatballs, sausages) as well as serving customers, ensuring quality cuts of meat for any occasion.
In a 2-week volunteering programme in rural Thailand, I fed various species of animals, cleaned enclosures, and created enrichment activities. In the future intend to return to WFFT and similar programmes in Costa Rica.
During June 2024 I completed a weeks work experience at my former primary school's PE department where I helped plan sessions and create activites. Alongside this I also helped with the schools sports day a few weeks later which included walking the children from the school to the nearby playing fields.
Through my varied experiences I am skilled in multiple areas Throughout education I have always been part of the student council, at Fairfield i was a prefect, at SGS i was student rep and at UWE I am student rep for criminology
Similarly at work at I have developed great customer service and social skills as well as being efficent when following instructions from both my superiors and from how customers would like items to be cut/prepared
I have completed my Bronze DofE award and am currently completing elements for my Gold DofE award Having successfully completed both hiking expiditions for the two awards I have demonstrated team work and problem solving skills
My voluteering experience lead me on a solo trip to Thailand where in the course of 2 weeks where I met lots of new friends and proved to myself that I can go to a forgein place by myself and not feel out of my comfort zone
