Skills

  • Autonomous clinical assessment - I have a good working knowledge of patient system assessment and can use these to form a suspected diagnosis whilst considering differential diagnosis and being vigilant of red flags
  • Chronic disease management - Many patients I have seen are frequently requesting aid from emergency care Where there is not an acute illness I can recognise the need for management of their chronic conditions and have successfully triaged or signposted many patients into primary care for further investigations, medication changes or referral to diabetes teams, cardiac care, respiratory care or pain clinics
  • Multi-disciplinary - In emergency care I have liaised with police, social workers, community response teams and GP’s I believe I am able to accurately communicate concerns to other services in a clear and concise manner and I recognise the expertise of others

Affiliations

  • Reading - Sci-fi and fantasy are my biggest interest and despite a busy life I still find time for a book.
  • Painting - A novice miniature painter but I enjoy taking the time to hone this hobby.
