- As part of the breakfast team in a hotel kitchen, I worked in a fast-paced, intense environment where I honed my problem solving abilities as well as learning how to conduct myself safely around hazardous equipment.
- Developed my attention to detail by aiming for consistently high standards of preparation and presentation. I applied this at each stage of food production.
- Gained excellent interpersonal skills through teamwork and fluid communication with my colleagues which was needed due to the nature of the industry.
- Became practiced in effective time management by splitting my focus between multiple urgent tasks.
- I learned to properly record important data when I cross referenced invoices with physical deliveries as well as recording the temperatures of food and storage areas to comply with health and safety regulations.
