Certification

  • Supervisor Training held at The George Townhouse to learn about supervisor duties, how to manage shifts and also uphold the company values and standards.
  • Coffee training with Wogan coffee roastery, a workshop for a coffee champion from each of the 12 sites to learn the sciences behind pouring the perfect coffee. I learnt to calibrate coffee machines to give the perfect pour and then practiced milk frothing skills to give customers a top quality product. This knowledge Ilearnt would enable me to bring information back to train other staff members on the company standards for coffee.
  • Fire Marshal Training was very important to learn about for customer and staff safety. We learnt how fires can start inside businesses and the preventative measures that needs to be taken to reduce risk. I also learnt how to extinguish fires in case of an emergency using the right equipment for the most effective results .
  • Wine tasting courses with WSET gave an insight into the process behind making wines as well as how that affects flavour. This training course was useful to be able to pass knowledge on to customers, giving recommendations and tailoring to guests preferences.
  • Cellar management course held at The Bull on Bell street and being taught by Cask Marque. I learnt how to keep a cellar in healthy conditions with temperature, line cleans and overall hygiene so that i can pour the perfect pint for customers.
