I am looking for part-time work while at University. I'm on a gap year and currently have two Jobs in Brighton, one in a Pub (The Tempest) and at Co-op before I leave for Bath . I work 5/6 days a week.
In September 2024, I moved to Hamburg on my own to gain international work experience. During my time there, I worked full-time for two months at Dialog Ticket, a small translation and ticketing company. I then completed a two-month internship in the Purchasing Department at Mankiewicz, a global paint manufacturer. I also had a part-time job at Talent Garden, a company specialising in hospitality events, where I worked as a waiter and bar staff at various events.
Once I turned 18, I worked at a pub called the Fitz Regent in Brighton, for several months, developing customer service skills and gaining insight into business operations.
Academically, I completed my A-levels, achieving an A in Mathematics, an A in German, and a B in Economics.
I'm currently working at a busy pub called the Tempest in Brighton, right by the sea. It gets really busy on hot days and weekends.. I'm now confident in handling busy crowds, working at speed and working late shifts till 3-4am. I will be working here until I am off to Uni in September.
I am also currently working at a Co-op here in Brighton where I have been for nearly four months. I serve customers on the Till, stack shelves and am one of the hardest working in the shop.
I recently finished working a ski season as a ski instructor in Austria for four months. This role strengthened my leadership, communication, and adaptability skills while allowing me to work in a dynamic, outdoor environment.
At Talent Garden, I worked at various events, including catering and business functions. This experience allowed me to develop my skills in event support, particularly in food service and hospitality. I gained valuable hands-on experience as a waiter and in assisting with event operations, further improving my ability to work in fast-paced environments.
During my gap year, I completed internships at Dialog Ticket and Mankiewicz in Hamburg. At Dialog Ticket, My role involved assisting with various tasks, from small tech-related projects to improving my translation skills. At Mankiewicz, I processed orders and explored departments like Legal, which broadened my understanding of business functions and significantly improved my German.
I began working at the pub after my 18th birthday in December, taking on shifts around my school schedule. My responsibilities included serving drinks behind the bar, clearing tables, and ensuring customer satisfaction. I worked there until April, when I had to stop in order to focus on preparing for my A-level exams.
