Orlando Pickering

I have recently completed A Levels at Giggleswick School in Settle, & am looking for part time or full time employment during my gap year in Harrogate to gain valuable work experience & to earn an income.
I have done some work experience, including working for a publishing company where I helped build an academic database, which the sales team then used to generate leads for university campus sales. I also did marketing support by answering phone calls, speaking with customers & clients, & dealing with their queries.
When I have spare time, I help out my family & the local community with odd jobs to earn some money, including general garden maintenance, dog walking & cleaning cars.
Additionally, I have competed in & won a ‘Dragons Den’ competition at school where we had to pitch a business idea to local business people.
I am interested in sport & fitness, having played first team football & rugby at Giggleswick School throughout Sixth Form. I have also been a member of Beckwithshaw Saints JFC for several years, playing in a competitive league, & also helping to coach the younger teams, while similarly having helped coach younger football students while at school.
As an active member of the school Debating Society, I have learned to research topics, prepare aspects for debate, listen to the opposing team, & offer an informed opinion.
