Project Based Experience

As a business analyst, I am currently working on redesigning the payment interface, upgrading security measures, and expanding payment options for a machinery company, given a budget which i was able to work with. Currently the payment options available for the company is direct bank transfer and cash payment. The task was for me to inculcate additional payment options to the payment platform. At the start of this project, i wrote down a list of questions and then scheduled an elicitation meeting with the project sponsor, after which i had clear understanding of the sponsor's requirement. I used the agile methodology to carry out the project whose stages involve initiate,define, execute and closure. I also used a couple of tools like Ms project to write out the project plan, i document existing i.e As-is and To-be, and used visio to draw out the visual representation as well as the use case diagram, i used balsamiq to draw the wireframe. At the end of this project, the website payment platform has the option to pay with debit/credit card, paypal,Mpesa,flutterwave and applepay, also the website payment platform now allows every customer to choose their preferred location which will in turn give access to payment in preferred currency. The sponsor at the end was pleased with the end result as the platform can now service customers globally
