Hired to support outpatient, inpatient, daycase and emergency activity by the timely preparation of health records and the provision of patient/customer focused reception service. As well as liaising with service users to organise appointments in line with the Patient Access Policy and standard operating procedures which I have completed courses for, as well as more.
Key Responsibilities and Achievements:
• Communications - communicated with service users in a sympathetic and empathetic manner using tact and diplomacy both in person and over the telephone
• Analytical and Judgemental Skills - I took action in line with escalation procedures and ensure forms are completed correctly during a clinic session liaising with staff to achieve this in a timely manner
• Planning and organising - ensured that systems are fully updated with the attendance and outcome status for all patients in line with the patient access policy standards and organised workload prioritising urgent matters.
•Responsibility for Policy and Service Development and Implementation - worked within all Trust Policies appropriate to the role and supported the provision of data or health records for audit purposes
• Responsibilities for Human Resource and Leadership- Demonstrated and explained procedures and practices to new staff in line with policies and standard operating procedures and participated in rotational requirements to support service needs putting patient services before personal preferences.
