  • Developed procedures to instrument substation to current and voltage monitoring, and for conducting EMC test.
  • Instrumented AC and DC substations to measure data as requested by customers, utilizing current and voltage transformers and loggers to obtain accurate information
  • Led RFI (EMC/EMF) tests, including preparation of test plans and execution of EMC tests under various conditions such as pre/post energization, short-circuit tests, and dynamic train tests
  • Conducted risk assessments in the test environment
  • Generated safety critical test reports to ensure compliance with relevant standards (BS EN 50122-1 2011, NR_L2_TEL_31107, NR_GN_ELP_27010)
  • Conducted critical and non-safety critical measurements and tests on electrification, telecommunications, signalling plants, and other railway systems and products
  • Engaged in safety critical meetings to emphasize safe practices and standards
  • Serviced, maintained, and calibrated a wide range of test equipment
  • Analyzed customer requirements to determine project scope and objectives.
  • Part of testing and commissioning team for variety of railway projects such Crossrail, Great Western (GWR), Transpennine Route Upgrade (TRU) as a test engineer
  • Received outstanding individual performance in 2022/2023 for completing EMC test in ongoing and completed railway projects.

Assistant Engineer (Electrification Test)

Network Rail
Lewisham

Graduate Electrical Engineer

Network Rail
Milton Keynes
09.2015 - 03.2017
  • Successfully concluded a business familiarization program, involving short placements across various company divisions. This initiative aimed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the industry, encompassing different departments, their respective responsibilities, and specific areas such as the Electrification and Plant Design Group (EPDG), Plant and Traction & Rolling Stock (P T&RS), the Thameslink project, and asset management services (energy).
  • Completed a 6-month maintenance placement within Electrification and Plant (E&P) at the Brighton Delivery Unit (DU). This experience involved collaboration with the Conductor Rail Engineering (CRE) team, technical engineering, and the substation team. Additionally, I contributed to a project focused on investigating the root causes of burning issues with positive traction cable, lugs, and hookswitches.
  • Successfully undertook a placement with EPDG High Voltage (HV) distribution team. In this role, I engaged in modeling two independent single-core cables in free air using Simulink on MATLAB. The objective was to simulate thermal ratings, guided by IEC60287 standards.

Product Development Engineer
