When working, I made sure each job I did was better than good enough. Both jobs I did helped with my people skills, dealing with clients and customers who were sometimes difficult or unpleasant. Working so early and getting up early for college also helped with my time management, meeting deadlines, fast learning and motivation.
I took up working with my step-dad, who had me working each day starting at 6:30am. This job included me carrying heavy toolboxes for him, helping to move bigger things and making jobs easier for him. It helped me improve my people skills with clients, making sure we got good results. It also made sure I worked hard and early to keep clients happy, helping out with anything possible. I kept my step-dad company while working, improving my teamwork skills and ensured I could work as a pair or in a group, all while doing a good job.
I improved my skills with animals and people alike by walking dogs for neighbours to start with, doing my best to make sure the pets and owners were satisfied with a job well done. I carried out basic grooming tasks for the dogs too, ensuring clean return and good health of pets.
I go to college three times a week, on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. On Monday and Tuesday, I finish at 4pm, and on Wedneday I finish at 1pm. Working on those days are more than possible for me, although it will have to be later hours of work.
